It’s a well known fact that none of us stretch as much as we really should. For us, it’s a matter of boredom. There are just so many other things we’d rather be doing! So this tip makes it simpler.

SIT ON THE GROUND FOR 30 MIN

Forcing yourself to sit on the ground for at least 30 minutes is sort of a self imposed trick. Try it and you’ll quickly see that it is almost impossible not to start stretching or hold a position that feels good.

HERE’S HOW WE SUGGEST GETTING STARTED:

Pick a tv show, a podcast, a book, or music that will occupy your mind for 30 minutes. This is key! Occupy your brain or you’re not going to last 30 minutes. Find some open space on the ground and sit, take a few deep breaths, and start your show or podcast, etc. Find a stretch you like – maybe it’s your lower back, hamstrings, calves, or shoulders that feel the best. Don’t overthink it. Then, let yourself focus on whatever you chose while continuously moving and flossing into different stretch. But why? Stretching encourages healthy muscle development, joint strength, and injury prevention. Many of us are placing above average stress on our bodies these days in an effort to grow, shrink, or cut – stretching is the unsung hero that will keep us moving in the right direction.
